This instructional choreography video is one of the best I've seen. The combinations Sahira teaches are fun to dance -- and look good! Sahira demonstrates each combo, then breaks it down, including breaking down moves most experienced tribal dancers already know. This gives an excellent review of the move, as well as makes it possible for newbies to learn it. Each combo is then practiced to the music before moving on to the next one. She then strings 3 or 4 combos together, including and transitions necessary (broken down -- nice touch!). Finally, there is a review of the entire choreo with Sahira calling it out, including counts, and then a practice to the music. Of course, at the end there is a full-costume performance of the choreography by Urban Gypsy. Sahira performs facing away from the camera looking into a mirror, so you can see both views of her. The lighting is excellent, as is the sound. You hear both Sahira and the music clearly. And Sahira lets her personality sparkle through. My troupe enjoyed performing this choreo at our hafla in December. We have also used several of the combos on their own in other performances.
